
15 Minute Helicopter Flight with Lunch in Scotland
Overview
For anyone who's ever wanted to know what it's like to pilot a chopper, this helicopter flying experience is a must try. Based at Cumbernauld Airport, the high-flying aerial adventure is designed to give keen flyers a chance to take their first steps towards becoming a real helicopter pilot. Begin with a safety briefing and an introduction to the controls of a two-seater R22 helicopter and once strapped in, get ready for an exciting vertical lift-off. Enjoy 15 minutes of hands-on flying time and take the reins of this revered training chopper to find out exactly what it can do, with the instructor alongside to offer guidance throughout. The feeling of flying a helicopter is immense, as are the views - it's the ride of a lifetime!

At least two weekend dates per month throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. - Participant Guidelines
Min age is 12. Max weight is 14 stone, max height is 6'5''. For security reasons, photographic ID (ideally a passport) MUST be produced on the day to be permitted to fly. Wheelchair users are welcome. - Duration
Lasts up to three and a half hours including a briefing, tuition and 15 minutes of hands-on flying time. - Numbers on the Day
The helicopter flight is one-to-one with just the participant and a seasoned pilot. - Dress Code
Please bear in mind that inside the helicopter can get quite warm. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. - Other Info
This experience counts towards a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL). Please note, the lunch is a choice of a buffet style or a voucher for the on-site cafe.
