Experience the sensation of hovering above the ground in a dynamic, fast-moving helicopter during this six mile pleasure flight around Gwent. Climb to around 1000 feet and enjoy one of the most idyllic ways to see the beautiful British landscape. Soak up breath taking sights from the ground below, with the pilot pointing out any local landmarks along the way. Be sure to take photos of the amazing adventure and capture the impressive imagery, to show friends and family and re-live the experience when back on solid ground!
Flights take place around one weekend date per month from April - October.
Min age six (under 12's must be accompanied by a participating adult). Max weight 18 stone. Pregnant women should consult their GP before flying. For security reasons, photographic ID (ideally passport) MUST be produced on the day.
This is a weather dependent activity, mainly due to wind speeds and cloud base above the ground. It is crucial to call the venue before setting out to check conditions. If the flight is cancelled, it can be re-booked directly with the venue.
Expect to be at the venue for about one hour, including a safety briefing and a flight time of between seven and 10 minutes. Please arrive a few minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start.
Numbers on the Day
The helicopter seats up to six participants, plus the pilot.
Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. A pair of binoculars or a camera comes in handy.
Please bear in mind that inside the helicopter can get quite warm. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
