Afternoon Tea for Two at Wivenhoe House
Wivenhoe House, with its luxurious lounges overlooking tranquil parkland, offers the perfect setting for afternoon tea. Sink into a comfy chair to enjoy tiers of sweet and savoury delights. Savour a variety of traditional finger sandwiches including smoked salmon with creme fraiche and more. Then move onto the desserts, comprising carrot cake with cream cheese icing, Earl Grey macarons, apple and cinnamon choux buns and still more besides. It wouldn't be afternoon tea without scones, so leave room for both fruit and plain. They're freshly baked and served with jam and clotted cream. Top it off with a pot of piping hot tea. For special occasions or simply for quality time with a friend, it doesn't get much more sophisticated than this.
