Whether looking to change a style or find perfect new season pieces, this is the ideal experience for anyone who loves fashion. Enjoy £225 to spend in-store, with the help of an experienced John Lewis Fashion Advisor, who'll talk through the latest trends, accessories and beauty products. Begin with a private consultation, relaxing over tea or coffee and a pastry and discuss ideas with the advisor. Then head out to John Lewis's fabulous fashion and beauty departments or, if preferable, relax in a suite and the advisor will select a range of items to browse in private. A mini-makeover with a make-up artist and a small goody bag are also included.
Book during standard store opening times (usually seven days a week). Opening hours vary and not all stores take appointments on Sundays. We recommend at least six weeks advance notice and no bookings are taken two weeks before and a week after xmas.
Personal styling services are available in all John Lewis shops with womenswear departments. Minimum age is 16. Please check location as to which stores are able to cater for plus sizes.

This is a one-to-one consultation.
It is not possible to bring people along to the consultation, although friends are welcome in the store afterwards.

Ive had this experience before and had a great time shopping - This time I didn't want the personal styling as Ive gained some weight and wanting to loose it I didn't want to purchase clothes - just make up and perfume.
I phoned the store ahead of going and was told this was absolutely fine and just go to customer services and they would help me. I went along and 2 people tried to help me for half an hour but clearly had no idea of what they were doing , 1 also questioned saying was I totally sure the code hadn't been already used - I almost left at this point. It finally got sorted and a lovely shop was had however I was mis quoted prices ( something that has happened a few times in john lewis recently) and 1 item that I was told was 1 price was actually £20 more. This could be an embarrassing situation for some. All in all quite put me off John Lewis all together. The red let part of the experience was flawless.
Was quite tricky to book, got passed around several different departments before having to contact the store directly, then on arrival they didn't have me in their system (possibly due to the difficulty booking?)
Shopping experience itself was ok, my shopper just brought mainly things I'd told her I wanted,as opposed to suggesting new looks which I thought was the point. Makeover was good though, and i used the tea for two voucher on a different occasion as I wasn't allowed anyone with me ( which was also a bit of a complaint - if you wanted to bring a friend they had to pay, when I'm sure having a companion there would have made it more enjoyable and they be bound to buy something anyway...)
I really struggled to find anything I would want to buy or wear. Very small ladieswear department at West Quay. I went to look around prior to the appointment and was so disappointed I wished I'd have cancelled. There was literally so little choice of clothes - perhaps there are more choices of brands in larger stores. I ended up just asking to go by myself and spend it all on the make up counter at Chanel. So no personal shopping (no amount of persuasion would have made me spend money on any of the clothes there) no makeover (this was already booked for me at Bobbi Brown for two hours later but I just wanted to get out of there) and I was given a voucher to go and have a cup of tea at the cafe - which I didn't use. No goody bag either and had to wait 20 minutes at the end as nobody knew how to put the purchases through the till. Luckily the Chanel girls (especially Rose) were so lovely that they made me feel a bit better about the day and helped me make my choices to spend my voucher amount. Went home and lied to my hubby and said it was great :( I could have cried.
Laura was great made me feel so comfortable and special. The whole experience was about what I wanted and what made me happy. Tara was friendly and gave great advice on skin care but no pressure selling. Really enjoyed myself.

Other reviewers had commented that they were encouraged to try on things that they wouldn't usually consider and this appealed to me. The experience was great as I'd had my make up done before the clothes session so could get a feel for what I'd look like on a night out. All John Lewis staff were excellent; very friendly and helpful. I came away with items that suit me (make up and clothes) most of which I wouldn't have picked myself. You're made to feel special and I would recommend this experience. I did however, end up spending more than the £225 as it's hard to leave behind items that suit you.
I enjoyed a couple of hours shopping and trying on new clothes with a lovely fashion advisor who encouraged me to look at some new styles and found coordinating clothes for me. Next I had a pot of tea and flapjack before being shown around the Beauty Retreat and finally having a make-over at the Chanel counter.The make up stylist spent a lot of time telling me about the products she was using.
A lovely couple of hours, where I didn't feel rushed or harassed.
Had a great day. Eileen was really helpful. friendly and put you at ease. The only thing missing was that I did not receive a goody bag, but that did not detract from the day.
I spent this voucher at John Lewis in Kingston. The staff were very friendly and made a reall fuss of me. I came away with some lovely dresses and swimsuit for my holiday.
I really enjoyed this experience. My advisor was very helpful to me and once she had worked out what suited me, i went home with a selection of nice outfits. The makeover was also a great experience as i have never had a makeover before and i found the staff very friendly and made me feel very relaxed. Basically came away feeling like a million dollars.
My granddaughter had a lovely time, Angie from John Lewis was very helpful, everything promised was fulfilled and it was well worth every penny !
Would defiantly recommend and will be doing this again in the future!
It was wonderful to have someone taking you out of your comfort zone to try different styles and colours. Really helped me look at choosing clothes in a different light. The make up advice was helpful too.

A lovely treat
My Husband bought me this gift to ensure I spent money on myself! Whilst in all honesty the fashion selection in John Lewis was perhaps directed toward a more mature clientele, Eileen was lovely and extremely helpful, nothing was too much for her. I had a makeover by Amber at Chanel and again she was lovely, advising me on products and giving me a lovely fresh look. It was a lovely couple of hours and I left feeling thoroughly pampered. A really lovely idea for a gift.
Amazing morning spent in John Lewis Liverpool One with Clare who was delightful, fab time trying on clothes chosen by my stylist, love my purchases then a mini makeover and a great goodie bag to take home. Hoping for another Red Letter day soon to relive the experience

What a great day we had at John Lewis where all of the staff we met went out of their way to ensure that it was a memorable experience. I bought some great clothes with the help of a friendly and experienced personal shopper and the make over was excellent. I would highly recommend this experience.
