Available at some of the UK's most stunning settings including Burghley House, Hatfield House, Blenheim Palace, Highclere Castle and Ragley Hall, this classical British summer concert provides an evening unlike any other. Enjoy a delicious food and wine picnic hamper and watch Cavalry and Infantry displays, before a volley of shots from a vintage field gun is followed by a choreographed display from Carolyn Grace in her LF Mark IX Spitfire. The New English Concert Orchestra performs classical pieces, including Beethoven's Battle Symphony with 193 live cannons and muskets. Celebrations culminate in a flag waving proms finale with Rule Britannia and other favourites led by Channel 4's winning soprano Denise Leigh, followed by a firework display!
No age restrictions apply but those under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult (18 or over).
The Spitfire air display takes place subject to weather conditions. The concert will go ahead in inclement weather.
Gates normally open between 4pm and 4.30pm so relax and enjoy traditional fairground stalls, a warm up band and cavalry display. The musical programme starts at 7.30pm and finishes by approximately 10.30pm.
