Karting isn't just for kids - it's how many Grand Prix champions (including former Formula 1 world champions Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton) start out before moving on to fame and fast women. Whatever racing ambitions are harboured, this experience is loads of fun; novice or expert, everyone can enjoy this fast and furious session, racing others head-to-head around a specially-designed track. Start with a briefing, get familiar with the karts and circuit (and wake up that competitive streak). Then compete against other drivers in a race to find the overall champion and total glory.
Most venues hold at least one open session per month, all year round.
Restrictions can vary, please check. Min age 14 - 16. Some medical conditions (e.g. pregnancy, epilepsy, fainting, neck or back injuries) may mean you can't take part. A disclaimer must be signed on the day.
The weather won't affect this experience unless you've chosen an outdoor circuit. If so, please call before setting out, as severe weather conditions (e.g. heavy rain or ice) might mean that driving is cancelled or curtailed.

The session lasts at least 90 minutes, including around 30 - 40 minutes driving time.
Numbers on the Day
The number of competitors can vary from 14 to around 48.
Spectators are welcome, and there are snack bars and viewing areas at most locations.
Wear flat shoes or trainers. A race suit and helmet are provided.
Do not drink any alcohol for at least five hours prior to the experience or you won't be permitted to drive. Customers must wear a balaclava under their helmet whilst racing. Disposable balaclavas can be purchased for 50p or a reusable one for £3.50.
