Grovefield House is a great setting for afternoon tea. We were a party of six. We has tables set up on the lawn - white linen clothes and napkins. As much tea and coffee as we wanted. Three cake stands with delicious finger sandwiches - six varieties. Scones, jam and cream (still warm!) A selection of mini cakes - all involving cream! We were six hungry adults and we didn't finish it all.
Fantastic place and very friendly staff
Tea was lovely everything was fresh and home made.We would definately go there again. The waiter was polite and attentive
How nice to be offered a choice of sandwiches to chose from, warm scones, lovely cakes and tea that flowed effortlessly. nothing was to much trouble for the wonderful staff.
The Queens Head is set in a very pretty part of Northamptonshire, the tea was delicious, the tea itself was piping hot and plenty of refills offered. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, dining room and facilities were to a high standard. Very enjoyable and plenty of walks around if you wished to 'walk your tea off'
Great Service, food was lovely and no rush to get you out the door
We often give and receive an afternoon tea voucher for the Grinkle. Perfect setting and food spot on. Service is great too.
We have been going to Grovefield House Hotel for the last two years for afternoon tea. The food is always nice and it's much better that they allow you to chose which sandwiches you want as not everyone likes everything.
The service this time though was very poor. Not once were we asked how things were or if we wanted extra tea and coffee. In the end we had to get up to find the waitress and ask her, even then she seemed a little shocked that we'd asked.
The service has never been great but it's still one of the nicest afternoon teas we've been to so we will continue to go.
My friend and I enjoyed a typical afternoon tea in front a great log fire. The bread was particularly light and tasty.
The staff were very attentive and we felt we no pressure to hurry(in fact we were encouraged to have yet another pot of tea before we left) Nice, comfortable surrounding, altogether a perfect birthday tea for two.
We were well looked after by the staff and had a table right next to the window overlooking the gardens. There was a good selection of teas and sandwiches to choose from. The afternoon tea arrived very quickly and we left feeling super full, probably should have asked for a doggy bag instead of eating it all!!!
Very relaxing luxurious treat, beautiful surroundings, attention to details second to none. Would definitely recomend it to friends and family Thank you
The staff were all very polite and friendly, the hotel was quite and peaceful, the cakes were amazing and we were offered an endless supply of tea and coffee
Beautiful location, relaxing spacious restaurant, excellent friendly service, with a plentiful supply of delicious food and tea. A lovely afternoon.
I was bought this for my birthday and we waited 3 months to use it as we needed to arrange childcare.
Maybe it was because it was after the Xmas season but the place seemed tired and the staff bored.
The food was ok. sandwiches just simple squares of warbrtons with the crusts cut off-how posh! The cakes were good. The drinks, well, they were nothing more fancy than the tea bags and coffee you have at home. Shame,
Im glad we didnt have to pay for it but it was nice to be away for a few hours.
The location is lovely and thats what this place plays on. All in all a bit dissapointing.
From the first phone call to book our table, we had excellent service. Staff, surroundings and high tea was just as we hoped it would be. I would recommend it to anyone as a celebratory treat.
Good afternoon tea with excellent service.
The food was very tasty and plentiful - we couldn't manage all the cakes which is unusual for us as we love them!
This afternoon tea at The Grovefield Hotel Burnham, was a Mothers Day gift that I couldn't use earlier. As Nov 11th was a significant date to me, I used it on that date instead.
Our afternoon tea was delicious. We enjoyed looking out at the gardens on a windy autumn day from a cosy setting. A lovely experience all round, great food with pleasant staff.
Arrived at venue in driving rain and howling wind which made the warm welcome from the reception staff even more appealing. Afternoon tea was a delight and one that we would be happy to repeat. We especially enjoyed the wide selection of sandwiches available
