Make three recordings and choose the best one to take home on CD
Expert advice from the session engineer and studio staff
Bring along a couple of friends to take photos.
This experience is not just for singers - it's also perfect for musicians who'd like to record a piece. Come along to the session having rehearsed something, and after a run through, make three recordings. A session engineer and studio staff demonstrate the recording process, giving expert advice and tips on how to get the best from your voice. Get a feel for what happens behind the scenes in the music industry - and maybe get to hear some stories about the stars. Participants are even welcome to bring along guests. Then choose the best performance from the session and take it home on a CD.
Availability varies between venues. Dates generally fill up quickly, so we recommend you book several weeks in advance, particularly during the busiest summer weekends.

Numbers on the Day
The studio time is held on a one-to-one basis with an experienced recording engineer.
Either two or four spectators (depending on venue, minimum age eight at Manchester and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult) are welcome. They can bring cameras or video cameras.
If you have problems finding a particular track, each studio has an extensive catalogue of songs and will be happy to help. Most studios will call you to discuss your chosen song with them a week or two in advance of your booking.
