About

Once you've driven a Ferrari, no other car comes close. Experience the phenomenal acceleration, braking and handling of Maranello's breathtaking beauties. You'll kick off with a briefing and then your instructor will drive you on some training laps in a hot hatch so that you can learn the racing lines and see circuit driving techniques in action. What you do next depends on the venue: At Donington Park or Three Sisters Circuit you drive seven miles in a Ferrari 360 followed by three miles in a hot hatch and finish with ten miles in a single-seater racing car (23 miles in total). At Thruxton or Croft you drive three laps in a Porsche Cayman, four laps in a Ferrari 355 plus five laps in a single-seater (25 miles at Croft, 28.8 at Thruxton). And at Rockingham you'll drive an F360 for six miles on track and then a single-seater for another 20 minutes. Finish with a high-speed passenger ride at some venues.

Key Info

Availability: Donington Park or Three Sisters Circuit: weekdays or limited weekends. Thruxton or Croft: selected weekdays Feb/March to November/December. Rockingham: selected Saturdays. Weekends are always busy, please allow several weeks advance booking notice.
Participant Guidelines: Restrictions vary by venue, but as a guide the minimum age is 18, the maximum weight is 18 stone, the minimum height is 5' and the maximum is 6'3'' to 6'4''. You'll need a full manual driving licence (held for a year) - bring it with you on the day.
Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like ice, heavy rain or high winds, when driving at speed might become dangerous.
Duration: You'll be at the venue for between two to four hours in total, including briefing, safety guidance, 30 to 40 minutes driving time and de-brief.
Numbers On Day: Your briefing will be shared. All in-car tuition is one-to-one except for the demonstration laps, where up to two other people may be in the car with you.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera will come in handy. All venues offer good facilities for spectators and drivers. Dogs are not permitted at any circuits.
Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and narrow, flat-soled shoes, as the pedals in these cars can be close together. Wear natural fibres like cotton, rather than synthetics like nylon.
Other Info: Donington Park was a Grand Prix circuit in the 80s. Thruxton and Rockingham are fast and challenging circuits. Three Sisters or Croft are great courses for those in the north.
