Kids' Ferrari Driving Experience

My son thoroughly enjoyed his Ferrari experience. He was very proud as he pulled away smoothly in the Subaru and got to 85mph in the Ferrari! His friends are amazed and envious! A great day out. Very well organised and the rain did not spoil it at all.

Jaw ache caused by too much smiling rather than talking! Fantastic experience letting a 16 year old drive a Ferrari. Great instructors, friendly, informative and supporting. Samantha still cannot believe she drove a Ferrari on a race track and as she said, got to 85 miles an hour even on a wet track! How much faster could she have gone on a dry track?!

The driver was my 14yr old son. He confidently managed 85mph in the Ferrari after just 10 mins of driving! This was all thanks to the expert instructors and their clear and encouraging directions throughout. The whole experience was fantastic! Dad watched with much envy...

Everything about this day was wonderful - organising the booking was easy and when we arrived it was well set out and easy! My 13 year old son loved every minute of it - an excellent day out. The staff were great too!

My son (12 yrs old) had a marvellous day. Really good staff from the booking in staff to the drive organisers. Special thanks to the 2 driving instructors. The whole family enjoyed the day and it was brilliant to see my son driving a Ferrari at 80mph. Unbelievable! When we were driving to the track I did wonder how you could teach a 12 year old to drive a Ferrari in 2 hours but the throughly professional staff did it! Many thanks to all concerned on the day. My son thought he was going to watch me drive a Ferrari. He could not believe it when we got there and he was told he was driving! He really enjoyed the day and the experience of driving around the track. He also enjoyed driving the Mini Cooper prior to the Ferrari.

My eldest son is a wonderful, unassuming boy with a quiet love of cars. Taking the controls of a supercar and driving with confidence (and with a smile on his face as wide as the Grand Canyon) was a joy not only for him but for me and his brother and sister too. A real family experience to treasure forever! The staff were fantastic throughout the day; welcoming and relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were great and the event went without a hitch. We will definitely be booking again. Dreams and memories are made of moments like this....a unique experience worth every penny.

My 13 yr old son was nervous before the event because he had never driven before. All the staff put him at ease and once he had completed his laps in the Mini Cooper all his nerves had gone. He enjoyed every minute of the Ferrari drive and his brother and sister were so impressed they now want to do it as well.

The Ferrari experience was mind-blowing! There are no other words to explain it. The people were kind, everything worked well. It was superb!

After reaching 90MPH on his first ever time behind a wheel, my 14 year old son walked towards me after closing the door of his 200,000 pound silver Ferrari behind him, with a great big grin on his face. Driving 4 laps in the Mini convertable had taken his breath away but the Ferrari experience had left him speechless - it was truly a dream come true - both for him and me!

I booked a Ferrari for my 13 year old son who loves cars and thought this would be the perfect present and it was. A day he will never forget ! The in-car video was brilliant. He was looked after really well and had a absolutely fantastic time. For a teenager he hasn't talked so much for ages!! Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a teenager.

We were welcomed in by the most cheerful person I think I've ever encountered serving behind a counter - she was so helpful. Fantastic day out - cars were great; instructors were top notch: brilliant with the kids and very helpful. Highly recommend it.

Arrived at the circuit in the pouring rain, but this did not dampen our spirit for what was to come. My 15 year old son, who is a typical teenager (i.e. so laid back that he is horizontal) did not pass any excited comments at that time! We went for the briefing,which was presented in a jovial, friendly manner. He went on the pre-run in the Focus ST, still no comment from him. Next was the drive in the Mini Cooper. The only comment we got when asked if he enjoyed it was 'IT WAS ALRIGHT'. As stated earlier - typical teenager! Then it came to the BIG DRIVE! I had asked if he wanted to drive any car in particular. Answer 'Don't mind'. I think I was more excited than he was or he was hiding it well. Then he asked to drive the RED 360 MODENA. The staff duly obliged, his name was called out and off he went. He came back, we asked him what he thought and he could only say one word ... 'QUALITY'.

We bought our Son a Junior Ferrari drive for his 12th birthday. We live in the Republic of Ireland so flew over specially for the day! We arrived at Prestwold Hall on a very wet and miserable morning, to be cheered up by the reception staff, instructors and helpers who made us welcome from the moment we arrived to when we left. Following a comprehensive briefing and safety talk, and an 'I told you so' from my son when he found out the Ferrari had 'flappy paddles' to change gears, they set off to the track; first in the new Focus ST with an instructor driving to show the layout of the circuit. This was followed by a drive in a Mini Cooper to get used to the circuit before jumping in to a Ferrari 575 for the drive of his life. He came away from the day grinning from ear to ear and full of stories and experiences which he'll have to go a long time to better. He's now saving for his own Ferrari!

I would like to thank all the staff at Loughborough in Leicester who made my son's Ferrari experience unforgettable. We were greated by friendly staff and he was then taken out in a convertible Mini Cooper (no dual controls - mum very nervous!). As I watched him drive off, my life skipped forward 5 years to when he will be taking lessons for real - oh dear! A couple of laps later he was ready for the Ferrari 360, and we paid for the incar video to film everything including sound! I look forward to showing this on Top Gear when he becomes the next Jenson Button!!

This was a fantastic day, I was very nervous but the instructors made me feel very relaxed. We were given a tour of the racing track, picking out the braking and turning points, this was followed by a driving lesson in a Mini Cooper which was almost as much fun as the Ferrari 360, wow what a sound! I was buzzing for hours after, nice and steady on the bends and flat out on the straight!

Such fun when we learnt to drive in the Mini, and then when I got in the Ferrari - it hit me - wow I am in a really expensive car! Not sure I would recommend to friends as I want the experience all to myself - I might have to keep it secret. I didn't expect it to be so much fun and thought it would be more theoretical - as it was, I was blown away by how much I enjoyed it. Cool! I will be back to drive the Lamborghini!

It was a fantastic day. To drive a Ferrari aged 14 is just the best thing, but where do I go from here?!

My son Will had the Ferrari driving experience as a Christmas present. I have to say we were very impressed with the way he was looked after from the beginning to the end of the experience. Very friendly instructors who made everyone feel it was their special day. Thank you.

Words could not describe how brilliant the day was. The instructors were really helpful. The chance to drive two cars - the Mini and the Ferrari was unforgettable. Can't wait to do it again. It's already on my Birthday list.

My son throroughly enjoyed his Junior Ferrari experience. He said it was the most exciting thing he has ever done!

My 15 year old son had the time of his life. The instructors were excellent and the whole experience was well organised. The whole family want to have a go next time!

The whole experience was great, the staff were lovely and very helpful, the instructors were approachable and easy to talk to. I was given the red Ferrari, and the noise it made when I put my foot down was unforgettable. This was a 16th birthday present and it is definitely one I'll never forget.

The instructors were very kind and helpful. They helped me learn the basics of driving e.g smooth on the throttle, smooth steering. I was aware of the awesome power on that 575 maranello (570bhp) and had to control my right foot which got very eager on the throttle at some points. Well with all that power it is hard to resist! Both cars handled beautifully, especially the 575 which would glide around corners.

I was quite nervous when I got there but there was no need to be as everyone was so friendly and helpful. The Mini was great and the Ferrari was excellent and breathtaking. I would recommend to everyone and do it again tomorrow if I could.

My excitement levels began to rise as we neared the swooping 1.8 mile circuit; my ears filled with sound of V8s thundering down the main straight. After our demonstration laps, we siphoned down into Minis. My new Supercharged (yes, supercharged!) Mini was a joy to pilot, easily reaching the national speed limit. The manual gearbox was less of an issue than I had expected, I did not have to suffer the embarrassment of stalling. Then, the 120mph main event; my red F360 was glorious and sounded magnificent; the instructors were both encouraging and safe, they clearly knew their way around track and car alike. An utterly stunning experience.

Brilliant time, was well looked after by everyone, they couldn't have made it a better day.

The care and attention given by all the instructors on site was excellent, and provided a safe and memorable experience.

Very exciting day, unbelieveable that you get so much control of a Ferrari when you're not even old enough to go out on the road ... truly brilliant day.

I will never forget my Ferrari experience, after getting behind the wheel for the first time I managed to hit over 100mph!! Dream come true!

I have sat watching the video footage that the organisers took, and to see my son's face is a dream, the photos, the memories will never leave me. The staff at Red Letter Days were helpful and polite, and the guys down at the race track were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. Considering it was a junior day, and they were surrounded by novices, they had the patience of saints. You ask a question, they answer, they say they will do something, they do it! I will certainly booking more experiences as gifts for the whole family, and my son will most certainly be back. Well done and thank you!!

My son has been through a hard time the past few years as he suffers from a debilitating muscle disorder. Thankfully he is now getting better and to see him so happy on his Junior Ferrari experience was a moment my family and I will remember forever. I want to thank you for making the day such an amazing memorable experience, worth every penny and I would definitely recommend this day, but be prepared to start saving for a Ferrari, it's now on my son's Xmas list!

Great day out despite being nervous, instructors helped a lot and were very professional. Couldn't stop smiling afterwards.

Albeit a bit of a flight from Belfast (luckily Ryanair is cheap) we had a great day. On the first early winter day of 2008 (in October!) it was wet, it was cold, and it was absolutely brilliant! From the start we were made to feel special. The girls on reception and in the cafe and the guys instructing were great. I couldn't believe it when I got the Red Letter Days gift and unbelievably I was able to get booked on a date on my half term break. Although I'd driven a little bit before, the opportunity to go round a race track in a Ferrari was unbelievable. The instructors in the Mini and the Ferrari were brilliant. It was an experience I'll never forget.

I'm 13 years old and have never driven a car before. When I arrived, I was told that I would have a test run by driving round the track in a Mini Cooper - complete with clutch & gear stick. I was really nervous but my instructor was brilliant and I never stalled the car once! Then, it was the BIG one ... zooming round the track in a Ferrari 360. I managed over 100 miles per hour by lap 3 and just felt incredible. My dad is really jealous but I don't care, I'm going back for more!

I bought the Junior Ferrari Drive experience for my son, for his 15th birthday. He had a truly amazing couple of hours and can't wait to tell his friends that he's actually driven a Ferrari!! We bought photos and the in-car DVD of my son's drive also - as keepsakes for us and proof for his friends.

Fantastic time! Having your first driving experience in a Ferrari is a dream come true.

My son had a wonderful time, he loved the fact that he got to choose the colour of car he wanted to drive. I would recommend the experience to all. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The photographs were excellent and finished off the day nicely. Our youngest son is looking for his treat now. Our eldest has a Rally experience to look forward to in the next few months. These experiences make ideal gifts for all of the family.

As soon as my 13 year old son got out of the driving seat his first comment was "Can I do it again?". Money well spent in my opinion. Thanks to all the staff, especially the driving instructors who kept it running even in the wet.

I have been interested in cars for a long time, so it really was a brilliant feeling when I opened the pack on my birthday and read what it was. On the day I went out and drove a Mini around the track, it was hard using the clutch but making it round filled me with confidence for the paddle shift Ferrari 575. The instructor was patient, taught me the racing lines and helped to get used to the car.

From the moment I arrived until having to leave the whole event was fantastic, my best experience of driving so far, all of the instructors were friendly and gave me the confidence to go out and enjoy the whole event, went too quickly and could have spent all day driving round.

Norwich to Prestwold is a long way - three and a bit hours but it was worth every minute. Amazing how they can get a 13 year old with no driving experience to be racing around a track in a Ferrari 575 at 80 mph within 40 minutes of arriving. Outstanding day, outstanding staff and a priceless experience.

Who would have thought that I would get a Ferrari 360 Spider up to 110mph being only 15 years old!

My son who is 15 was absolutely thrilled to bits, didn't stop smiling all day. Very well organised absolutely brilliant. Thank you.

I bought the experience as a birthday present for my son. He did not believe me when I told him that he would be driving a Ferrari. He thought I was joking until he read the letter. During the day there was no chance of removing the grin from his face, and asked if he could have another drive for Christmas and his next birthday!! To sum the whole experience up, excellent value for money, I will be booking the experience for him again!!

I had a fantastic day and I'd always dreamed of being able to drive a Ferrari, and that dream came true on my experience even through I am only 13.

I think that the experience was amazing and the instructors and other staff working there were extremely patient and understanding. They were also very helpful.
