This manor house crafted by Italian-inspired architecture has been standing since 1829, home to many Earl’s, Queen’s and King’s over two centuries. It has a new lease of life as a luxury hotel and is the perfect setting for an afternoon tea for two. Encompassed within 1,800 acres of protected national trust parkland. Take in the glorious views whilst enjoying an afternoon tea of freshly baked scones with preserves and clotted cream, rich fruit cake, sticky toffee or banana cakes, and light fruit meringues. Freshly cut classic sandwiches include smoked salmon and dill mayo, cucumber with celery salt, cheddar and local chutney, and Suffolk ham with piquant mustard. Accompany this treat with either loose leaf tea or freshly brewed coffee – the perfect setting to a British tradition.
