Hot Air Ballooning
Spectacular scenery & serene flying, this has to be the most peaceful way of gaining flying experience. The balloon crew are efficient, informative and capable, swiftly preparing the equipment for the flight. The safety briefing is witty and entertaining and, before you know it, the balloon is inflated and you're climbing aboard. The ascent is surprisingly rapid and the views are quite breathtaking. In a very short time, the balloon had climbed to almost 3,000ft and the only sounds to be heard were those emanating from the rural activity on the ground. Floating along on a breath of wind, the tranquil progress was interrupted only by the periodic blast of the burners as the balloon changed height. The sense of motionless suspension lends an almost timeless air to the flight but before you realise it, an hour has passed and a suitable landing site is being sought. The return to earth is a gentle, slightly bumpy business punctuated by much laughter and hilarity. All told, a great memory.

My first date was cancelled due to bad weather, but when the next opportunity came it was a perfect day. It was a brilliant experience and the pilot was great. I would love to do it again.

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get in the basket when I arrived on site for my trip. All the staff were so helpful and calm - made me feel relaxed. Being up in the air in the basket was so amazing - calm, peaceful and tranquil. Life should have moments like this! Looking forward to travelling this way again.

Fantastic journey, our balloon pilot was brilliant, very informative on our journey and fun to be around. One of the good points was the Essex police helicopter popping by to say hello!! Plus we had a great group of people on board. Take off and landing were excellent, would recommend this trip as a must at some point in your life.

A ballooning trip was a Christmas gift from my father for my husband and I. Although we were both apprehensive at the thought of being thousands of feet up in the air, it turned out to be an amazing experience form start to finish. We couldn't have had a more friendly balloon team, the guys were great, the weather was wonderful and the views were fantastic. Best of all was the absolute peace and quiet drifting over the Kent countryside. I didn't even mind helping setting out and packing the balloon away at the end, it really got everyone there involved and talking to each other! The champagne at the landing and photos were a great touch. Plus the photo proves to my father we actually did it!

Didn't know what to expect, but the experience was was fun and felt very safe. Liked the drinks at the end, but as I was driving I had to settle for orange juice!
