Can contribute towards flying time for a microlight Private Pilot's Licence
Get a taste for an alternative way of flying with an adrenaline-pumping microlight flight. After receiving a safety briefing from a qualified instructor, hop into a dual-controlled microlight in preparation for take-off. Once at altitude, experience the true aerial sensation of this incredibly zippy, lightweight craft whilst admiring sensational birds-eye views from the ground below. During the session, take charge of the craft to experience the amazing rush of flying first-hand. Should the experience bring out the flying bug, this flight can count towards a microlight Private Pilot's Licence.

Microlighting is a weather dependent activity and it is crucial that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If your flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.
The flight lasts 30 minutes, but please allow up to an hour at the venue.
Numbers on the Day
Your briefing might be shared, but your flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor.
Spectators are welcome to watch you take off and land, dont let them forget to bring a camera or pair of binoculars. They can relax in the cafe and viewing area on the airfield.
These microlights have open cockpits, so wrap up warm. We recommend long trousers, closed in shoes, socks and long sleeve jumpers. Bring gloves in winter and sunglasses are recommended all year round.
Your flying time can count towards a microlight private pilot's licence, for which you need 15 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying to qualify. Please be aware that this is quite a high adrenaline experience, not for the faint hearted.
