Bird of Prey Experiences

The Harris Hawk was a spectacular bird and it was such a privilege to walk with her and see her in flight. Joe was also very informative and made the experience interesting.

Superb afternoon! Handled 6 birds of prey ranging from small owl to huge eagle. Falconer was really lovely and so knowledgeable. It was incredible to see these beautiful creatures up close . A most memorable afternoon. Thank you

Millets farm wildlife centre was great! We had such a great time. It’s not huge, but there’s lots to see. The wallaby walk was fun, being in with the butterflies was really special, the bird of prey display was the best we’ve ever seen. Highly recommend it

The setting itself is breathtaking but the real experience was handling these amazing birds. The handler was excellent and we were never rushed. The birds (and us) had total confidence in him. Every bird had his own character and they were obviously very well looked after. Can thoroughly recommend.

Although I was initially under the impression this experience would involve flying birds (probably my fault for not reading the details correctly!), it was an absolutely brilliant day. The weather was "challenging" at one point, but that didn't stop the experience from going ahead. I initially thought the number of guests on the experience (25) was too many, but the venue easily dealt with this by splitting the group into two and assigned a separate experience leader to each group. Lisa, our experience leader, was brilliant - she was full of knowledge and responded to questions asked with lots of detail. I would fully recommend the venue we attended (World of Wings in Cumbernauld) to anybody, but it will obviously depend on where in the country you are situated. The only "negative" comment is aimed at Red Letter Days/Adventure 001 Experiences - the experience details list the venue we attended as Cumbernauld Outdoor Activity Centre, but, as mentioned above, the venue is actually called World of Wings. To the uninitiated this could lead to lots of confusion, so I would urge the organisers to update their details for this venue.

Wonderful day, being up close to these incredible birds was a dream come true. Sam was fantastic, knowledgeable, passionate and just a great guy. I feel emotional it was so good.

This was a really great day out - the Owl Experience was so well run - interesting: informative & fun.
