What a terrific day when I got the opportunity to drive two of my favourite cars. Both of these drives were with two very capable and friendly instructors who patiently guided me through the journey which passed far too quickly. The drive experience was way above my expectations and I can’t wait for the next time.

I received this driving experience as a gift from my son, which was something my son was more excited about than if I’m honest. We had to pick one of two of the nearby venues Honiton or Exeter on the available days and spoke to one of representatives who advised me if I changed the range of cars then it would manipulate the available dates for a specific venue. This flexibility was extremely useful as the I was especially bothered which cars I drove but planning the dates and venues around my busy Summer schedule, meant I could pick and choose a venue and date. I ended upgrading the cars and doubling the laps which was really good value in any case. So, I drove a Ferrari 458, a Lamborghini, the bonkers SLR Mercedes and the nutty Ariel Atom turbo. Very different cars. The track is a hammerhead configuration, quite bumpy. As the instructor gains confidence in your ability he starts encourage you to accelerate harder and earlier out of the turns and brake much later than you feel possible. The engine noise and exhaust note from the SLR was intoxicating. Definitely recommended! I am now going to book an experience for Son - he did drop me big hint!
