Steam Train Experience

What a great way to spend a day, eating an excellent 5 course lunch in a luxurious train travelling through the beautiful Kent countryside.

We were looked after and treated to a drink before we started. The driver was very friendly and informative and he let me drive the steam train but helped along the way. It was lovely to hear how the steam train ride all began. There was a park and other smell things where children could play so they were occupied before our experience.

This was a lovely day out, especially as the scones were warm and the cream and jam were perfect. The tea was so nice, I took a picture of the wrapper and bought some later. The staff were friendly and were more than interested in what they do.

Purchased this Prosecco Afternoon Tea for a friends 60th birthday, had a lovely time. Very good organisation, staff, very friendly and helpful. Tasty afternoon tea. Only an hour but we enjoyed the trip.

Would highly recommend a visit to the East Somerset Railway. More than just a great trip on a real steam train, it's a terrific little museum preserving history. And a fab cafe and shop!
