Experience the exciting sport of clay shooting at EJ Churchill in Buckinghamshire, a multiple winner of the UK Shooting Ground of the Year Award and host venue of the World Shooting Championships. Established in 1891, EJ Churchill is the UK's only shooting ground to have its own gun making facility. As proud home to Olympic hopeful Amber Hill, this impressive venue boasts 100 shooting traps that stretch over 40 acres of land. Once on the range, receive safety briefing before being allocated a shotgun and 75 cartridges. An expert instructor remains on-hand throughout to offer guidance and once confident, it is aim, pull, fire, as you see how many clays you can destroy in the space of an hour!
Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year excluding Christmas, New Year and bank holidays.
Minimum age 9 and participants must be strong enough to hold a shotgun. Under 18's need to be accompanied by an adult. Disabled customers are welcome, but parts of the experience takes place on uneven ground which might be unsuitable for wheelchairs.
Lasts for one hour, expect to spend about 75 minutes at the venue.
Numbers on the Day
Gun tuition is one-to-one with the instructor.
Up to three spectators are welcome.
Dress for the weather. Warm layers in which you can move freely are recommended.
