Travel in time to 1840 and enjoy a traditional afternoon tea for two at St. James Hotel and Club in stylish Mayfair. After a glass of Duval-Leroy Champagne on arrival, sit down to some classic tea and treats crafted by Executive Chef William Drabble. Enjoy an assortment of sandwiches with traditional fillings, scrumptious cheese scones and plain scones with homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream and sweet treats that were enjoyed by Queen Victoria, including Tipsy Cake doused in sherry and layered with custard. These indulgent sweet and savoury nibbles are inspired by authentic Victorian recipes and will be accompanied by a pot of loose-leaf tea. Savour every bite of this timeless British treat in elegant and stylish surroundings.
