Lovely venue
My son and his girlfriend purchased this voucher for a birthday gift for me. Lovely venue and can imagine on a sunny day it would be a nice afternoon out. The cakes were excellent and the scones were still warm, more than enough to eat. One suggestion would be to have less cake and more sandwiches though. I had to ask for the tea and was shocked when it arrived, it was a tea bag in an earthenware mug, I also had to ask for the milk, which arrived in a small cup. In my opinion afternoon tea is a treat. We expected it to be done properly, with a tea pot, china cup and saucer and a milk jug. When I mentioned it to a member of staff when we settled our bill, I was told that it had been mentioned before, sadly the venue hasn’t done anything about it. This really took the edge off my experience, I wouldn’t return to the venue.
