Enter the exciting world of scuba diving at a swimming pool in Slough, Berkshire. Starting with a safety briefing learn underwater mobility techniques from an expert that introduce you to a brand new underwater world. Once in the water, learn how to breathe with the equipment and become buoyant underwater. Courses in Slough take place under controlled conditions - and even though it might seem a long way from diving in a tropical ocean, it's the perfect way to get a basic grounding and get a real taste for diving. It's also perfect for anyone thinking about taking a PADI Open Water Diving Course.
Sundays from February - November. Book at least two weeks in advance.
Minimum age is 10. Must be in good health and comfortable in water. If you suffer from asthma, diabetes, claustrophobia or any respiratory, heart or other medical conditions, advance written medical approval from your doctor is required.
Lasts around two hours (starting at 1.15pm or 3pm), but this may vary depending on the standard of pupils. Around half an hour is spent in the pool.
Numbers on the Day
There is a maximum pupil to tutor ratio of 8:1.
We don't recommend bringing spectators, but they can usually be accommodated upon request - please ask when booking.
Bring a swimming costume, a towel and a T-shirt each to wear in the water as a cushion from the scuba apparatus, which can sometimes rub. All other equipment is provided, including tanks, masks and scuba gear.
All participants are required to sign a medical declaration and disclaimer before taking part. No previous experience is necessary, beginners are welcome.
