Spa Days with Afternoon Tea

Used my voucher for a spa day at St Paul's Mecure Hotel in Sheffield. Booking process was very simple and we had a great day. Big shout out to the hotel staff who looked after us and provided excellent service throughout the day.

Absolutely brilliant. We are actually going again tomorrow for my Mum's Birthday.

I received the voucher for my birthday so invited a friend to the spa. Booking using the voucher was easy and the spa made good communications by phone and email to clarify treatments and confirm the booking. We had a wonderful day and were given a very warm welcome. The spa facilities were limited but it was enough, it allowed ourselves to relax and not feel rushed in anyway before we head down to lunch and treatments. The foo was outstanding and there was plenty of it. The treatment was just sensational and was just what my friend and I needed. This spa is only 25 minutes away from my home and I had never even heard of it which is s ahem as I had of used this before if I had known it was so close by, however now I know where it is, I will re-visit and recommend. Thank you for such a wonderful day.

This was a Christmas gift for me and my sister, we went to the spa yesterday and honestly had such a lovely day! The treatments were lovely and very relaxing. Jess was doing my treatments and she was very informative with the products that were being used and generally a lovely girl! Bobbie who works at the reception was amazing and really made me and my sister at ease upon arrival and through our spa journey. Thank you Jess and Bobbie for really making our experience. We will definitely be booking for a little birthday getaway!

Great areas to relax in, not too busy, staff very friendly and helpful. Everything you needed was provided; towels, robes, slippers, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in showers, hair dryers, all inclusive of use of the facilities. Changing/shower rooms very clean. Only negative was loud radio music playing in the sun room - would have preferred spa/relaxing music. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely brilliant day

Firstly, the Mercure Hotel in Dartford was lovely. Their staff is extremely flexible and I recommend spending this voucher there. We changed the time for our afternoon tea after we realised we were hungry before the time we scheduled and they had no issues changing the time for us. The pool was a bit cold but still clean and a lot of fun to swim in. It’s quite big and everyone there was respectful of space and noise levels. The hot tub was nice and bubbly and the perfect temperature. The sauna and steamed rooms were great and definitely added to the spa experience. The locker rooms were nice and the lockers were massive, so bring as much things as you wants. There’s also lounger chairs to sit near the pool and you can claim them with a towel. We even took a quick nap by the pool on the lounger chairs. It was a much needed relaxation. Lastly, the afternoon tea was in the lobby near the bar. They have nice seating there on couches and near the window. The kitchen seemed busy and our afternoon tea took about 20 mins to come out but we weren’t fussed as we were enjoying our time with tea and coffee and were simply waiting on the food. It was a nice selection of mini pastries and cakes and the finger sandwiches also had a lovely selection to choose from. The scone was made fresh and still a tiny bit warm which was perfect. I assume this is why we waiting so long for the food but the scone was lovely and everything tastes delightful. The waiter came out and explained to us what was on the platter for our afternoon tea so we knew what to expect and we sat and ate and then went home. We enjoyed our time!

Great place, Spa is lovely and treatments was the best. Had afternoon tea which also was fabulous, the restaurant is very nice! Pool area with steam room, sauna and gym. Hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body and had wash all provided and the top it off the grounds are beautiful.

Couldn't wish for a more relaxing day, I enjoyed of the facilities eg, hot tub, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and pool before and after my two treatments, just wish the back, neck and should massage and Indian head massage lasted longer I was enjoying them so much. However, I was disappointed that there are no many spa options in Bournemouth or Poole where I live, most locations are above London, which is too far to travel. Whilst at the hotel I chatted with a mother & daughter that had come from Southampton as they said the same thing. Also I found the Red Letter Day website quite hard to navigate as when searching for a spa location it ignored my postcode, which wasn't very helpful & once I had entered my gift code it took me to bookings at the West Cliff, so I had no option of venue. Website needs to be seriously looked at.
