20 Minute Tiger Moth Flight in Surrey

Kick off with a pre-flight briefing, before donning a flight jacket and clambering into the cockpit of this incredible vintage aircraft. The Tiger Moth is the quintessential English biplane, and these particular models have all been lovingly restored. Once airborne, enjoy superb views from the open cockpit and feel a pure rush as an instructor puts the plane through a series of daring manoeuvres. Subject to weather conditions and at the pilot's discretion - during the flight, get a chance to take over the controls and become an honorary pilot. • Availability Description

  Saturdays and occasional Sundays from April to October. We recommend booking several weeks in advance.

• Participant Guidelines

  Minimum age is 12. Maximum weight 18 stone. Minimum height 4'11''. If you fit into a standard car seat you should be comfortable in the cockpit. Unsuitable for pregnant women or anyone unable to climb into the open cockpit.

• Weather

  Flying is weather dependent and it is crucial that you call the weather line (after 8.30am please) on the day of your flight. The Tiger Moth is an vintage open-cockpit plane and certain weather conditions may result in your flight being rescheduled.

• Duration Detail

  Your flight will last for around 20 minutes from chocks-off to chocks-on. Please arrive a few minutes before your flight time to be kitted out and briefed. Allow for at least one hour on-site.

• Numbers On The Day

  Your briefing may be shared, but only you and your qualified pilot will be in the aircraft during your flight.

• Dress Code

  Wrap up warm for your open-cockpit flight. Wear soft-soled shoes. Bring sunglasses and tie back long hair. Flying kit (jacket, headset and helmet) will be provided.
