About the experience

The perfect experience for two adults and two children with a passion for all things feathered - a family bird of prey day in rural Northumberland. Upon arrival, an expert hawk handler introduces the whole family to the range of beautiful and impressive birds that are involved in the day. Spend time getting familiarised with these majestic beasts and learn about habitats, hunting techniques and other amazing facts. Afterwards, a selection of birds of prey are flown for all the family to enjoy. Everyone gets a chance to get hands-on and up close to witness the speed and agility of the hawks and the silent flight of the owls. Bring a camera, as there are plenty of great photo opportunities to be had. Complimentary tea and coffee are included.

    This experience is for two adults and two children. Minimum age for children is five years old and maximum 14 years old. As the experience takes place in a field, there is not full disabled access.

  • Weather

    If the forecast is bad, please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather it will be re-booked for an alternative date.

  • Duration Detail

    Lasts for around two hours.

  • Dress Code

    Dress for the outdoors and wear wellies or walking boots. Bring a change of clothes if the weather is very bad. Feel free to bring along a camera and/or binoculars.
