Overnight Country House Escape with Dinner for Two

While Seckford Hall is a lovely property and I would happily stay again, the title of the voucher 'Overnight Getaway with a Three Course Dinner' is not really accurate as you actually get a £32 food voucher, which will only stretch to a 3 course meal if you order the cheapest main course (Ravioli). Any other main course, combined with the cheapest starter and dessert would cost more than the £32 allowed. But aside from that, the food is delicious, the room was nice and the staff were really friendly and helpful (though they did have an error on the final bill when i checked out where they hadn't applied the voucher discount for the food so be sure to review it carefully.)

Gorgeous area, amazing services. I even got an extra back massage after the prepaid one! Definitely recommend.

The hotel is lovely but it was very busy during our stay (mainly big groups of men on golfing holidays) which did slightly impact on our stay as they were very loud at dinner time and in the swimming pool the next day. This also made the service at the hotel rather slow, probably because they were so busy. It is a lovely gift and good value for money as you get a lot included in that price but maybe be aware that there is a chance the hotel might be overrun with men on golfing breaks. Not so much the romantic stay me and my husband had hoped for.

What an amazing hotel. From the moment you turn into the drive, it has the wow factor. A mixture of disney meets Harry Potter. Every where you look is amazing. The room's are so luxurious. The food was first class as well as the surroundings and staff. Could not fault this at all.

We were given this as a golden wedding anniversary gift 18 months ago and finally used it - delayed due to the pandemic. The hotel is like something out of a Harry Potter movie set, very gothic! We were given a room in the old part of the hotel and it was very comfortable- the hotel kindly upgraded us to a feature room. The included dinner was exceptional - beautifully cooked and presented by an obviously very skilled chef. The only small negatives are that for breakfast we were directed to the buffet, when actually there was a full breakfast menu, but we had to ask for this - it wasn’t offered by the slightly surly restaurant staff. Other than that, the setting is delightful but be aware it is extensively used for wedding parties and can get very busy with some noise in some parts of the hotel.

The Rothay Garden Hotel was excellent. The problem was the booking restrictions!! Can't go on a weekend, can't go in school holidays, can't go on bank holidays! We had to wait months until they decided they could squeeze us in on a Tuesday night!! I won't be using this again! The only downside of the Hotel itself was all the staff wearing masks! It made it difficult to understand what they were saying and gave a very antisocial feel! The food and the service though was excellent and a very good location with nearby local pubs and shops.
