- Availability Description
This voucher is valid for two people. Available week round, year round excluding bank holiday weekends and during the Easter holidays. Bookings can be made via email only – when booking in, please contact the Welsh Mountain Zoo with the booking reference number and at least four possible experience dates. Pre-booking is required for this experience, with at least a week's notice preferable (longer for dates requested in school holidays). All dates are subject to availability. - Participant Guidelines
Minimum age: 7 years. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Pregnant women cannot take part in an animal experience without first seeking advice from their doctor and proof will be required. Not suitable for those allergic to dust, animal fur or bedding. All participants must be up to date with their tetanus vaccinations. A reasonable level of fitness is required to take part in all experiences. - Duration
The experience itself lasts for around 20–30 minutes in total. Feel free to explore the zoo at leisure during opening times. - Dress Code
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for all weathers and for working with the animals, including trousers and closed toe shoes such as trainers, walking boots or wellingtons. The zoo reserves the right to refuse those who does not wear suitable clothing without offering a refund. - Other Info
All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences. Please note that during busy periods, Animal Encounters can take up to seven working days to be processed. A maximum of two people may take part in each animal encounter per day and only two animal encounters (each being a different animal) are available each day, subject to keeper availability. Participants will be asked to leave if they behave inappropriately or in an unsafe manner that could put themselves, staff and others or animals at risk. There will be a protective safety barrier between the participant and the animals.
