Embrace the freedom to explore the great outdoors with a thrilling navigation course for the day. Receive comprehensive training and learn the art of map reading. Develop important compass techniques whilst discovering the exceptional beauty of the Peak District. Get a taste for hiking in the hills and head off the beaten track for a chance to explore the beauty of the remote countryside. Develop key knowledge when it comes to the theory of maps, scales, rights of way and grid references, plus learn to use a compass, set the map and check direction. It will then be time to move on to practical training skills, progressing on to tricky aspects. Absorb plenty of information and build useful skills that can be applied in future navigation situations.

    All navigation equipment is included. Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather, including waterproofs and quality walking boots with a good tread. Make sure to bring a packed lunch and a good supply of snacks and a drink.
