Half Day Sailing
Experience the extravagance of a luxury skippered sailing yacht. After a safety briefing on board a luxury skippered sailing yacht, don sailing gear and a lifejacket. The yachtmaster instructor introduces to the basics of sailing, from hoisting the sails to helming and may even teach some sailing jargon. Depending on conditions, head out into the English Channel for some real open-water cruising, or go for a sightseeing tour along the beautiful Sussex coastline. Choose to take an active part in the sailing or just sit back in the cockpit and let the crew do the hard work.

- Participant Guidelines
Minimum age is 16 accompanied by another voucher holding adult and 18 unaccompanied. No weight limit applies. Agility to get on and off the boat necessary but no previous sailing needed, and non-swimmers are welcome.
Sailing is a weather dependent activity. It is vital to telephone the centre the day before the booking. Strong winds or rough seas will have an impact on the day, and in such cases the itinerary is subject to change.
Lasts around three hours. Please allow some extra time for a possible later return, depending on the tide and weather on the day. Please arrive in good time (ideally few minutes in advance).
- Numbers on the Day
There are up to ten people plus a cruising or yacht master instructor on board.
- Dress Code
Wear flat, soft and light-soled, non-marking shoes (deck shoes or trainers) or you won't be permitted aboard. Wear layers, it can get cold, bring extra clothes and sun protection. Life-jackets and sailing gear is provided.
