Microlight Flying

£100

About the experience

Flying a microlight is an exhilarating experience - and one which needs strong nerves and a real head for heights! Begin with a short briefing from a qualified instructor, before hopping into a microlight. There are two types of microlight (both dual-controlled) - 'flex wing' - based on the frame of a hang glider; or 'fixed wing' - similar to a conventional light aircraft. Once airborne, experience the incredible speed and manoeuvrability of these little craft, with the instructor on hand to offer guidance and encouragement to participants to take over the controls and assume the role of honorary pilot. This flight time can also count towards a microlight Private Pilot's Licence.

In a Nutshell

  • An exhilarating flight in a microlight - speed, manoeuvrability and breathtaking views
  • Expert instruction from a qualified pilot
  • Take the controls of the microlight (at the pilot's discretion)
  • Can contribute towards flying time for a Private Pilot's Licence for microlights
