Scuba Dive Discovery

Whether considering attending a PADI Open Water Diving Course or simply fascinated by the amazing sport of scuba, this introductory session is ideal for all aspiring divers. Receive expert instruction on safety precautions and underwater mobility techniques, before learning to breathe underwater and achieve weightlessness whilst wearing all the necessary equipment. Courses take place in controlled conditions in swimming pools, allowing divers to feel comfortable and confident as they discover more about the sport.   Courses run throughout the year. Please allow several weeks advance booking notice.

• Participant Guidelines

  Min age varies 10 to 15. Under 18's need parental consent. Must be in good health and comfortable in water. Sufferers of asthma, diabetes, claustrophobia or any respiratory/heart or other medical conditions need written medical approval in advance.

• Duration Detail

  The experience can last for around two hours, but this may vary depending on the standard of pupils and the venue. At least half an hour of this will take place in the pool.

• Numbers On The Day

  There is a maximum pupil to tutor ratio of 8:1.

• Dress Code

  Bring a swimming costume, a towel and a T-shirt to wear in the water to cushion you from the scuba apparatus, which can sometimes rub against the skin. All other equipment will be provided, including tanks, masks and scuba gear.
