Clay pigeon shooting is fun, fast-paced and provides a fantastic challenge for anyone who loves the great outdoors. Ideal for novices, this clay pigeon experience at Dorset's Gorcombe Farm comes complete with tuition from an expert instructor, and the chance to shoot between 30 and 40 cartridges. Start with a briefing, demonstration and a few professional tips, then get straight into the action. Raise your rifle and attempt to destroy as many clay pigeon targets as you can from a variety of different angles. Just to make things interesting, everyone who shoots on the day is scored on their efforts. Do you have what it takes to be the day's clay pigeon shooting champion?
Seven days a week throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period.
Minimum age is eight (children under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult).
This experience may be cancelled in severe weather conditions (e.g. heavy rain or deep snow). If in doubt, please call the venue before setting off.
Lasts around an hour and a half. Please arrive 20 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start.
Numbers on the Day
This is held on a one-to-one basis with an expert clay pigeon shooting instructor.
Friends and family are welcome to come along to watch the action and there are excellent facilities on-site including a cafe, bar, restaurant, toilets and lockers. Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
Please wear flat soled shoes (no heels or flip-flops), suitable for walking on grass.
