Two Night Country House Escape

From the moment we arrived - the lady on reception made us feel so welcome. Brilliant staff, brilliant food and amazing atmosphere. We wouldn't change a thing

Hotel staff didn’t listen to me when I booked my room as I am disabled told couldn’t do stairs.So they put me in a bit called the courtyard 200yds up a steep hill

Great location, fantastic lake views, clean, good location, friendly staff, fab continental breakfast with loads of choice, brill spa facilities.

Loved this hotel. Staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Our allocated room was not suitable as we had to climb a spiral staircase, reception staff immediately changed us to a more suitable upgraded room at no extra charge. Breakfast was delicious - cereals, cold meats, fruit and a well cooked hot breakfast of your choice. Dinner was also lovely with several choices, and a good wine menu. Beautiful gardens and outside ares for enjoying a glass of wine. Would recommend this hotel without reservation.

Saltmarshe Hall was about two miles from the main road, along a narrow lane with pasture land all around. The lane had pull-ins periodically. The Hall was very quiet with very few guests but we had a lovely relaxing weekend. The bathroom had been recently refurbished. It had lovely toiletries and the shower was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the curtains were thick so no light came through. The staff were all polite and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was really good and presented well. We did not have an evening meal as there was nothing to my liking but I can imagine that too would have been good. Although we did not use the bar there seemed to be plenty of selection of drinks available
