Little Learners Driving Experience for One

We took our two sons Finn and Sean to Dunsfold for the Little Learners driving experience on booking number 2213431 and 2213433. It was a birthday present for the boys that they had been looking forward to for a couple of months. Unfortunately the experience was very bad. 0 out of 10. The car was not charged so it ran out of battery shortly into Finn’s turn and then the car was completely unavailable for Sean. At one point the assistant was behind the vehicle pushing to help it drive through some grass. Aside from the fact that the car was unavailable then setup was also very disappointing. At £25/per go then we had expected a dedicated off road track with some fun features for them to drive over / through – a few hills, some mud or puddles some bumps etc. But the ‘course’ was six traffic cones set up in a circle on a patch of grass behind the burger van. Clearly such an afterthought to the main driving events and definitely not worth anything close to the £25 price per child. Even if the car had been charged it still would have been very disappointing. The staff were trying to advise that we could wait for the battery to re-charge but had no idea how long this would take and after 45 minutes was only 20% charged so we left. Additionally disappointing was the inability of the site manager to offer us a refund on the day. With no option to claim the refund we left the location with nothing other than a ‘resolution’ form having been completed to request the refund which may or may not be given. They did try to offer some alternatives in exchange but as an adult driving experience centre these were not suitable for young children. It is a shame as it is a local venue to us and might have made a good option for future experiences, but based on this experience – I will not make any bookings using this company again. I would not recommend to anybody.
