Recreate the thrill of early air travel with a flight in one of Britain's best loved pre-war aircrafts, the de Havilland Dragon Rapide biplane. Taking off from the IWM Duxford, fly south to London, enjoying magnificent views from 1,500 feet. First The Millennium Dome appears on the horizon, followed by London's famous skyline. Get some wonderful views of the Capital's landmarks, including Canary Wharf, St. Paul's Cathedral, the royal parks and palaces and the meandering Thames.   • Availability Description

    This voucher is valid for two people. Available selected Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, March–October. All dates are subject to availability.

  • Participant Guidelines

    Minimum age: 16 years. Maximum weight: 20 stone. Depending on ability, disabled customers are welcome, but personal helpers must be on hand to assist the passenger in and out of the aircraft.

  • Weather

    All flights are weather dependent and subject to suitable flying conditions – if a flight has to be cancelled it will be rebooked for an alternative date. It is essential to call the venue after 8.30am on the morning of the flight for a weather check before setting off.

  • Duration Detail

    The flight lasts approximately one hour and 15 minutes. Please arrive 45 minutes before the allotted start time or call the venue if delayed.

  • Numbers On The Day

    A maximum of eight passengers will be on board. The museum is very popular and can get busy on summer weekends and school holidays.

  • Dress Code

    Sunglasses are recommended all year round. For those who have a camera and/or a pair of binoculars, bring them along.
