Birthday Gift
Eventually used my birthday gift Afternoon Tea was average. Sandwiches very nice. Murder Mystery was a first. Enjoyable. had a great experienced folk on out table which helped/ hindered ?? Cast were very good. Meal was average

Good venue Makeney Hotel excellent cast from Murder 57od of a high quality
The venue was good friendly staff,food was good ,the atmosphere was of a friendly but competitive. The cast held their own with the buzz of the crowd with the storyline being laid outand the clues giving an insight into a good whodunit. My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. RED letter should hold their heads up high

Brighton Murder Mystery
The experience was good however the hotel room was poor for the price paid. The room was very small only room to walk round a double bed and the bathroom was ridiculous, no view windows filthy full if bird poo. Felt like we had just been given the worst room in the hotel. Breakfast was chaos no tables so told to get breakfast and take it through to the bar area which was also full.
Food was average.

Murder Mystery Gift
A really fun gift for a big birthday from my children. Afternoon tea was lovely. The Murder Mystery was very well done and we had great fun with the guests on our table trying to work out who did it. Alas we were wrong. The Murder 57 Company were excellent. The dinner was fine, although the main could have been warmer. Likewise breakfast was not very hot. The hotel was nice. We stayed for two extra nights before the event. Our room was looking a little on the tired side and the bathroom certainly requires a refurbishment, bath panel cracked, a cracked tile and mould on the grouting. Also a crack in the sink. It took us back to the 1980's, when we bought our first house - colour of bathroom suite ivory. A small wardrobe with five hangers for two people. We had to lay our coats on the table. No double glazing which meant the windows were running in condensation. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

Overall a very good experience. We would do it again.
Now we have to book our theatre break in London.

Mixed thoughts, good fun not premium!
I'm not sure what makes this a 'premium' overnight murder mystery break to be honest. You can book the Murder Mystery with a 3 course meal direct with Murder 57 so I assumed it was the hotel. We went with The Crown Hotel in Harrogate and although the hotel was lovely the room was very far from premium. I asked at reception and they said all of these events only include a standard twin or a standard double. Was quite disappointed as it was a 50th birthday gift. Even if we knew the room was standard it wasn't great, it was clean but so very basic, the wall paper was patched, there were screws where there should have been a picture but there wasn't a picture, there was a plug socket halfway up a wall but no table or anything to put what you were plugging in on (In our case a fan) which indeed did have to be propped on the suitcase! It was so very beige and bland! Rest of the hotel was lovely, as was breakfast. It was just the room that was a big let down when your expecting 'premium' and someone has paid for that for a special occasion. Murder 57 took a long time to confirm the booking (an issue with red letter day codes, I understand) The event started off confusing and felt a bit chaotic. (compared to others I have been on) The process wasn't explained very well, no paper or pens but did get better and was a lot of fun. My son's food was correct on the booking but he received the wrong meal on the night (luckily he's not a fussy eater and doesn't have allergies) I picked the right person and for the right reason but apparently that didn't go through to them on the app and so I didn't win the prize along with the other person that got it correct, which was disappointing. They did email me a certificate after the event but its not the same when its your 50th birthday present. Lovely thing to do and great fun but a few things from all three suppliers let this down and please don't advertise as premium as there was nothing premium about the stay.
