About the experience

Clay pigeon shooting is totally exhilarating and a great opportunity to improve your aim and acquire a new skill. This is an experience with a bit of a difference, with some parts taking place in a classroom and the rest practical learning. At the end receive a certificate from The Clay Pigeon Shooting Association in recognition of completion of the Shotgun Skills Course. The class covers the workings of the modern shotgun, shotgun safety, how to apply for a licence and the practical skills needed to hit and break simple targets accurately. Great for clay pigeon shooting enthusiasts or those who are new to the sport, so go off with a bang.

  • Availability Description

    Takes place one Wednesday and one Saturday each month throughout the year. All booking is subject to availability.

  • Participant Guidelines

    Minimum age is 12. Anyone 16 or under must be accompanied by a spectating adult. As the venue has wheelchair access, disabled participants are welcome (please advise details at the point of booking).

  • Weather

    This experience will run in almost any weather conditions. Please call ahead if you have any concerns on the day.

  • Duration Detail

    Lasts for three hours but please allow an additional fifteen minutes for gun fitting and briefing. You are welcome to stay on-site for the remainder of the day to watch others.

  • Numbers On The Day

    Shooting takes place in groups of six (maximum two groups).

  • Dress Code

    Please dress with the vagaries of the British weather in mind for this outdoor experience. We recommend warm layers in which you can move freely.

  • Other Info

    All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences. This shooting club is a member of the BASC (British Association for Shooting and Conservation) and the CPSA (Clay Pigeon Shooting Association) which grades the venue as premier plus.
