About the experience

Get hands-on making delicious gin at Defiance Gin Academy! Begin with a delicious gin and tonic and a guided tour of the distillery to learn how they make their delicious spirits. After the distillery tour, it’s time to get crafty making a delicious gin concoction, choosing from over 40 botanicals! With a tasty gin cocktail in hand, enjoy mixing up a bespoke 500ml bottle of gin. Tuck into a delicious platter of cold meats, cheese and olives, alongside a refreshing gin and tonic, before heading home with a handmade bottle of gin to share with friends and family!

Perfect gift as parents

We travelled a distance to get here so we were actually early, but we still received a warm welcome from Paul who chatted with us and offered us our 1st gin. The whole afternoon was fabulous. We were part of a group of 8 and we all enjoyed learning how to flavour gin then got to create our own recipes and then make it to take home. During the talks we were given a gin cocktail then got to sample each others recipes whilst have a platter of nibbles Paul was very interesting to listen to and it is something we would do again A very enjoyable day

Defiance spirits tour

We were bought the experience as a gift, and what a great find. Had an excellent afternoon at the distillery, made our own gin and had own brand drinks and a charcuterie board too. Paul made us feel extremely welcome and his knowledge and advice was excellent. He's moving to Rochdale in the summer, and we will definitely visit again in the new premises. What a lovely day.

Amazing experience

What a fabulous afternoon. Paul was very hospitable and his knowledge was second to none. Would definitely recommend this, the distillery is small and the exeperience was very personal. The cocktails were fab as were the numerous gins we had and then the samples on top. Thanks again Paul
