Great date night

We stayed here recently for a date night. Lovely hotel. Very comfortable

Not worth the money!

Hotel was fine, the bed was so uncomfortable and the breakfast was below average. The car parking was a nightmare. The hotels's website says onething and the car park company says another! Can't see me returning to this hotel anytime soon.

50/50 good and bad

Visually lovely. Bedrooms and bed comfortable. Bathroom clean and nice decore. Facilities all good just tired. Another customer told us they are renovating the pool soon. No grounds around the walk. Staff are mostly lovely and smiley but not quick enough to serve in the restaurant. Took half hour to Recieve drinks and water at dinner. Staff were clearing tables and pottering about before we were served. There were only 4 tables eating at that time. Supervisor got smart with a waitress who was trying to help. Lady working in the changing rooms was very helpful and quick to resolve my issue when someone took my robe from the pool area. Bought a sharing charcuterie plate for my husband. Came with so much meat and half a slice of sourdough each and a finger bread stick. We asked about having more bread the manager gave us more complimentary after waitress saying we would had to pay. We constructively said less meat and more bread for £19. Flat white coffee was watery had to ask for another one.

Nice hotel but noisy renovating.

We've had bad experiences with Red Letter days before but thought we couldn't go wrong booking with The Crowne Plaza, so booked that. The voucher cost £150 and I paid extra for breakfast on top. (Thursday to Friday). Plus points. Good spa, decent size of pool, good steam room and clean changing rooms. Nice staff member on duty too. Super hot breakfast buffet with a good array of items and staff cleaned busy tables quickly. Well done to the breakfast crew, they were a credit. Then to our room, our King room was regular size with mocha walls and a decent view over the river. Minus points. Our experience was spoiled by a broken A/C which was not good in a heatwave, scalding water in the shower that was to the point of being dangerous and our room was by constant banging and drilling as they were renovating the lifts on the 12th floor and we were not pre-warned. (I would have added a video but it does not let you.) I notified reception who said the noise would stop at 5pm. It started next day back of 8am. We let reception know on leaving room 1222 that they needed the shower/water and A/C examined and fixed. You came in from the heat and there was no fan or A/C at reception either. Not good for staff or customers. Staff jackets needed fitted at the shoulder too as they were too big and looked unprofessional. The room had a small fridge that barely worked and two tiny milk sachets that barely covered the base of the mug for tea. I went down to reception for more and was offered two sachets. (These are like McDonalds ones that splash when you open.) I asked for more and got six, which just about did two cups of tea for two. This needs re-thought. You pay for quality you expect at least one decent cup of tea without having to ask for it. We've stayed at other Crowne Plazas and this one is quite good, hence 3 stars but needs to up it's game. What is an average hotel could be way better. They could also use a swimsuit dryer in the ladies changing area too.

Not worth the money

Really wasn’t worth the money. We could have booked the same hotel online for much cheaper than red letter days. The hotel bathroom had a mouldy shower curtain which wasn’t nice either- wouldn’t recommend.
