It was ok
Nice building. Room not the cleanest and in need of some love. Breakfasts ok, but would have expected better. Nice area and The Lime Tree restaurant in Bollington is excellent.
The process of using the voucher, which I’d paid extra money at a later date to include dinner was tortuous and as there was no option to book dinner when I booked the stay I only got bed and breakfast and it took lots of emails and stress to get a promise of the extra payment being repaid to me. The staff at Red Letter Days were useless, somehow Buy a Gift got involved and they were much more helpful and effective. It was so frustrating having to do it all on email and not call and actually speak to a person. I won’t ever buy an experience voucher again.

Disappointed
I think these gifts are useless. Can't access a decent hotel to stay in using these vouchers. We had vouchers for a 2 night stay and a 1 night stay and had to use both to obtain a reasonable 2 night stay and also had to pay another £150 on top! Please don't buy me anymore gifts with these vouchers!

Retirement Trip
This was a present on my retirement and we chose the Cotswolds as visited the area before. The hotel is set in the most spectacular setting, staff very friendly and meals were also very good. Plenty of choice for breakfast and the afternoon tea was very good. You only get a hotels classic room, ours was based in the annexe, the rooms are very clean and tidy. Overall the trip was very worthwhile and we have said we will return for another visit in 2024, the location could not be better to see the area especially the main town only being 10mins by car! spectacular views, and lots of places to visit inclusing the keys for shopping and Goucester Cathedral.

Confusion
The wording on 'Your Experience' gift card is unclear as to what is included in the package.
'Two night hotel getaway with dinner and afternoon tea'. 'This delightful stay includes a generous three course dinner accompanied by a sparkling glass of fizz, an afternoon tea and breakfast each morning'. I interpret this to mean meals are included on both nights, the hotel disagreed saying it meant meals on just one night! My wife and I were not best pleased to have to discuss this with staff at the dining table before eating. The hotel manager also had no idea how the system worked. Spoilt our wedding anniversary.
