Afternoon Tea in Lake District

The afternoon tea for two was fantastic, really good food and lots to eat, the surroundings was so lovely and it wasn't busy.

We booked the afternoon tea to coincide with our holiday in the Lake District. Hillthwaite Hotel staff were most welcoming and made us feel special. The view from our table was superb overlooking Windermere. Overall, a super gift for cake lovers in a classy setting.

We had a lovely and most enjoyable afternoon tea. The staff very warm, friendly and welcoming. The food was 5 star, most enjoyable afternoon.

Afternoon tea Briery Wood Hotel, Lake District - this was a Christmas gift from a friend which we used in May whilst in the Lakes. My partner and I were very pleased with this afternoon tea which was very well presented. Each afternoon tea we have had in the Lakes has been a different experience. We liked the fish and chips which was very tasty together with all the other foods. This as was very well presented especially the sandwiches inside a book labelled Briery Wood. Attention to detail was excellent and would definitely recommend this. Loved the lemon meringue and all the other small cakes.

Everything about this afternoon tea experience was 5*. The setting is wonderful - despite being there on a rainy day this did not detract from the whole experience. The food was lovely and very original and the service was so friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

All the staff were very warm and welcoming and provided a beautiful Afternoon tea with views over Lake Windermere. We were very lucky to get such stunning weather. Thankyou all at Merewood Country House Hotel for making my birthday celebration extra special
