Spend two hours learning the basics of paddleboarding with helpful tuition from a professional instructor as a great introduction to this challenging water sport while soaking in the scenery. Kick off with a briefing before being kitted out ready for some serious paddleboarding action. Learn how to paddle, steer and balance before testing out those newfound skills with a gentle cruise up the River Leam, taking in stunning views of the Victorian Park and nature reserve along the way.

Sessions run approximately two weekend dates per month between March - October. - Participant Guidelines
Min age 14. Participants must be reasonably fit and confident in the water. Ability to swim is not necessary as buoyancy aids are worn at all times. A complete a medical declaration must be completed (and signed by a parent/guardian if under 18). - Weather
Kayaking goes ahead in most conditions. Very rarely flood conditions may lead to postponement - the venue makes contact if a session is postponed. - Duration
Lasts for two and a half hours. To ensure a prompt start, please arrive a few minutes in advance of the start time. Allow some time at the centre afterwards to shower and change. - Numbers on the Day
There is a student to tutor ratio of 8:1 and everyone has their own paddleboard. - Dress Code
Please wear basic sports clothes that are fine to get wet. Bring a towel and a complete change of clothes. A buoyancy aid and a waterproof top are provided. Either remove or firmly secure glasses. Contact lenses may be worn. - Other Info
You WILL get wet but there are hot shower facilities so please bring shower kit. The venue is a British Canoeing Quality Mark centre, licensed by the Adventure Activity Licensing Authority.
