A little disappointed
We were given this as a gift for our birthdays and were a little disappointed with our choice of manor of groves. The outside was mostly pretty but otherwise nothing like described.
The spa / healthclub had the jacuzzi and sauna out of order which appeared to have been for a long time. The steam room was impossibly hot as there was no regulator on the steam in a very small room, you couldn't see nor sit down. The pool was full of kids playing which we weren't expecting. We went to the 'sun terrace' which was small and unkempt. We were told by a member of staff we couldn't bring glasses out there, she gave us a plastic cup each and told us to take our glasses away ourselves.
The restaurant was expensive and the food wasn't nice. Tasted like microwave meals.
We had a shared terrace outside our bedroom which was again unkempt and resembled a prison garden with high white walls some paving slabs and 2 patio chairs.
We didn't even bother going down for breakfast as we were so put off from dinner

Dissappointing
The host was more interested in telling us he had just got back from a 2 month holiday than showing much interest in what we were doing. Questions were asked and more often than not the answer was 'I don't know'. Myself and a gentleman from another table were served glasses that looked like it was the bottom of the barrel........the hist tried to tell us that they were fine but eventually did exchange them for us. At the end he then handed out cards with his name on without mentioning the food that was booked and then seemed surprised when I asked about it. We did eventually get our meals but it did seem like we were seriously putting him out by asking for what we had paid for. Anyway, all in all the beers were really good, just the whole hosting was very disappointing. Sort that out and the whole experience woukd be much much better

Absolutly lovely afternoon tea
The hotel abd staff were superb. The afternoon tea lovely to look at and even better to eat. The staff were so attentive and helpful, nothing was a problem fir them.

Wicked - Silver seats x2 gift
Loved the show! However, it was very uncomfortable. Not a lot of legroom at all and I'm only 5ft 3. Being able to order snacks and drinks to seat location was a plus. Our 'silver' seats were the last row at the very back of the theatre.
