A very enjoyable afternoon but disappointed that the Palace was closed for the winter when the weather was absolutely beautiful!!

An excellent tour of the winery and brewery. Very informative. Finished off by a tasting session of the wines, beers and liqueurs.

Really good pre-theatre meal. Service excellent, food good and lovely views of Birmingham at night.

Red letter days no problem. Slug and Lettuce Riverside Reading very poor. Waited 5 minutes to be shown to table no one acknowledged us then chose our own. Sat at table for 5 minutes no one acknowledged us. Went to bar waited approx 4 minutes before finally being acknowledged. During all the time we waited three members of staff glanced at us occasionally, never making eye contact or acknowledging us verbally, although the male member of staff continued his conversation with the couple he'd been speaking to outside the venue, when we first arrived. Please forward this to the Slug and Lettuce Riverside Reading then hopefully the experience won't be like this for another Red letter customer, because unfortunately as the provider of the experience it looks very bad for you. The food was nice but only warm, not hot.
