Fabulous visit

Had a fabulous visit to the Lion Rock tea room for an afternoon tea. Very welcoming and attentive service and the food was very delicious and plentiful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and revist

Best Scones Ever!

I was gifted this as a birthday present and as there were only three venues in the area for this voucher decided on the Lion Rock Tea Rooms. So glad I did! Booking was very l straightforward by email. We were greeted by friendly staff. It was quite busy but we did not have to wait long. A beautiful varied collection of finger sandwiches, choice of scone and delicate cakes were presented. The scones were simply the best I’ve ever eaten. Would definitely visit again. Only slightly spoilt by my cup having a chip on the rim which meant I had to drink out if the other side. Would love to sit upstairs next time. Note that the toilets may be difficult for some to access as they are located in a separate building at the back.

Afternoon tea

We booked for 12.30, for 4 people for afternoon tea, we got there early and was served a pot of tea and given our plates and cutlery, we then had a good 40 minute wait for our sandwiches and cakes so we asked for more tea. The pot they brought out only just gave us 2 small cups each but was not enough milk so asked for more. The food was lovely after a long wait. I had a call from them saying I needed to pay £11.80 for the second pot of tea.. this was not stated at the time and the food and drink should have been brought out together so I wasn't too happy with this service.
