Dreadful booking experience
I had a lovely afternoon out in Colchester Boutique hotel. The food and service was excellent. The only down side to the whole experience was that I originally wanted to go to an alternative venue called The Grange hotel in Bury St Edmunds.When I rang the staff were very rude on the phone and never had anything and had nothing booked ahead. I think Red letter Days should at least make sure the venues advertised are actually available.

Wonderful afternoon tea A++
Booked for an afternoon tea. Great location just off the high street so tied in for a perfect break from some shopping. Warmest welcome by Daniel who couldn’t do enough to make our afternoon tea so special. Lovely glass of fizz provided as soon as we sat down. Background music made us sink into our seats and enjoy our stay even more. Food was exceptional. Daniel helped make our afternoon tea that much more enjoyable. Above and beyond. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Didn’t stay in any of the rooms but should we have the need to stay over in Colchester, we would DEFINITELY stay here after the service we received. Thank you so much Daniel.
