An amazing day on the lemur liaison and meerkat meet

Had an amazing time on the lemur liaison and meerkat meet. Having the opportunity to feed them inside their enclosure was an experience I’ll never forget. I was really impressed that it was just us on the experience-they don’t book more than one group together, which meant the keeper was able to impart lots of information about the animals. After the experience, we really enjoyed visiting the rest of the zoo. The enclosures were nice and modern and the zoo felt more intimate, with keepers stopping a couple of times to tell us more information about the animals. For a small zoo, I saw animals I’ve never see before, such as binturongs, margays and civets. It was a really special day and I really couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Great gift

Fabulous day organised by my daughter as a present. Loved every minute of the day. Very informative staff who was a credit to the organisation and made the day fantastic as I have a genuine interest in birds of prey

Very well organised

From the beginning this experience was very well organised with 3 videos to watch before you attend, an excellent safety briefing on the day with very simple and clear instructions. Your SCUBA diving gear is ready when you arrive and you’re given plenty of time to get ready before and changed / showered afterwards. There are 2 instructors for 4 participants and they are constantly checking you’re ok. We spent 45 minutes in the tank with fish swimming very close by, we even picked up the sand to drop onto them as they love that. There were sharks and stingray swimming close by too. The spectators had a great view too with large glass viewing areas. Altogether a great experience.

Cutest lemurs!

Keeper Sinead was passionate and knowledgeable about the lemurs, who were adorable, friendly and gentle. We asked if we could have the experience sooner in the day (it was meant to be at 2pm but she took us at 12) and she was happy to oblige.
