Step into luxury

The Alexandra House Hotel was a smart backdrop to our champagne afternoon tea. The room was stately and the tables looked lovely with their classy crockery. The tea itself was delicious: the bread of the finger sandwiches was soft and the scones light and warm. The patisseries were pretty and tasty mouthfuls. What made the whole occasion extra special were the delightful members of staff, who were charming and personable. They made us feel like VIPs, and it felt good! Thank you for a lovely few hours.

Lovely surprise

The surroundings were excellent, the staff very polite and attentive, andcthe quality of food was superb. I have had a few experiences of afternoon tea elsewhere but this was second to none .

Not good

The food was good but the organisation at the hotel was poor. We had to wait sometime on arrival and never received our champagne even though they knew it was a Red Letter Experience. On departure they didn’t ask for the code and contacted me later for me to send a copy by email. A misunderstanding on the address details resulted in yet another phone call to get the code. It was then given vocally. The administration is poor.
