Cream Tea at The Royal Lodge for Two

If you are not comfortable with drivibg very narrow lanes & having to negoatite passibg vehicles within an inch - do not go. (We live rurally & are.) Pleasant staff but not much of a welcome. Given no choice where to sit. Shown to a fairly dismal dining room where one other couple were seated at a table. The warm scones ratedxa 5*. My husband's tea waa fine. I had diet cola due to allergies, of which they wear aware. Glass over filled plus ice & lemon. Should have been asked re allergies. The butter packs were soft abd spreadable. it was a lovely sunny day but put in a corner of a darkish room whilst my husband could see a mountain, my view was very limited. A fairly steep walk up to the establishment having ti park in gravelled car park below. Nothing else to say.
