About the experience
Get back to what 4x4s were really built for as you enjoy a thrilling off-road driving experience at Oulton Park. You’ll receive expert tuition, making this ideal for beginners and more astute drivers alike. After a safety briefing and induction to the magnificent Land Rover Defender, you’ll be taken to the ‘nursery slopes’ to learn some of the basic techniques. It’s then on to the main event, as you take on the full course, covered in dips, slopes, water sections and bumps, to really put you through your paces! You will get a full 50 minutes’ worth of awesome off-road driving fun.
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- Your voucher is valid for one person
- Available week round, year round
- On receipt of your voucher, you are free to call the supplier directly to book your experience
- The experience lasts around 90 minutes in total
- Minimum height: 5'2” and maximum height: 6'9”

- You must have held a full manual UK driving licence for at least a year, and will need to present the original (no photocopies) on arrival

Brilliant Experience
Really loved driving the short wheel Land Rover guided by David Jones. Making sharp turns on the wheel is quite different to driving a modern day car. This vehicle is everything I thought it would be. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I received this red letter day from my husband last Christmas as I've always wanted to have a go in a short wheel base Land Rover. Fabulous morning!

Disappointed
My daughter bought this for my 60th birthday, I eventually booked my present only to be extremely disappointed.
When I attended Oulton Park and booked in I was told that I was doing the rally master , I immediately explained that I was booked on the extended 4x4 experience but nobody was interested and just repeated that I was booked on for the rally experience, so very disappointed I just went along with it thinking had my daughter made a mistake.
But when I returned home and explained what had happened she was furious.
I believe she is still pursuing what had happened as she had paid for something completely different
So unfortunately I cannot give a pleasant review awaiting the outcome

A Real Treat
This was so different to driving on the roads, everyone should do it. You come away with great respect for the Land Rover Defender and wonder how it can cope with these conditions. Actually, it could have been a little bit more extreme.

A Great Driving Experience
Its amazing what these vehicles can do. Impossible ascents and descents, tilting at seemingly ridiculous angles, crossing deep water. A great instructor who made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable.
