One Night Stay with Dinner and Fizz for Two at Denham Grove Hotel

Lovely hotel, warm welcome and was given a quiet room as hotel busy with 3 events, one with young children, and it was very quiet at night. Used the pool and sauna after the families went to dinner around 5.30 and as the main dining area was busy we had a great surprise ... dinner for 2 in one of their Pods outside, which was great and well looked after by the wonderful Alisha. Nice evening in the bar and a very tasty breakfast before checking out at 10.30 and doing a great 6 mile walk around Denham Woodlands etc which ended up in the Crew Cafe at the local Aerodrome ... a lovely trip indeed.

Had a lovely overnight stay at the Denham Grove. Room was good and had our meal and fizz in one of the pods , would definitely recommend.

On the positive side. We found the staff to be very attentive, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite quirky with a choice of various dive outdoor pods. These are very comfortable with heating and blue tooth connect ability to hook up your own smart phone to play your own music and to also connect to the wi-fi. The breakfast is a buffet style with a very varied selection and a nice spacious room. Car parking is close. The negatives are:- this hotel is situated in a single track lane (Tilehouse lane). There were signs displayed ‘Road Closed’ with only one reference to the hotel which stated ‘pedestrian access only’ which was slightly disconcerting albeit we did find the hotel at the very end of this narrow lane. The room was fairly standard and was clean however it was very cold in the room when we entered due to the radiators being turned off. This was exasperated by the window catches being jammed with the window slight ajar causing a cold draught to enter. It was fairly late and so we stuffed a couple of towels into gap which helped a little. No bottled water in the room, only one shampoo and soap to share and only decaf coffee sticks ( I need a bit of caffeine a.m) The sink mixer tap was very lose and wobbly to the touch. As we arrived later we did not report these issues but I believe had we done so then they would have been addressed? The aforementioned staff and food saved the day and we had a very good nights sleep with no noises and a very comfortable bed!

The hotel was perfectly fine, the room was clean and modern. Staff, particularly our waitress, were very friendly and professional. We were offered an upgrade to have our meal in an outside dining pod. However we were disappointed. It was a cold evening and the heating was not put on so we ate the entire meal in our coats and the main courses were not very good.
