Overnight Spa Break for Two

I bought this experience for my mum’s 60th birthday present as a spa weekend is something we never do. Upon arrival, we were unable to get into the room until 4pm so had a few drinks at the bar which was nice as we sat outside until 4pm. We got to the room and it was very basic, there were no dressing gowns or slippers and the mini fridge was empty, not even a bottle of water was left. We went to the spa which was nice, one of the jacuzzis was closed but there was another, along with a steam room and sauna. We then had a 3 course evening meal which was lovely and the staff were very attentive. Unfortunately we did not sleep well as the bed was very hard and the walls so thin that we could hear next doors TV until gone 2am. We got to the spa at 8am the next morning as we could use the facilities until the check out time of 11am. Unfortunately this was not a relaxing experience as lots of toddlers arrived and were screaming and jumping in the pool. We left at 9am for breakfast as it wasn’t a nice experience. Breakfast was also very good and we checked out just before 11am. I would not revisit Whittlebury Park as you expect a spa experience to be relaxing. I will certainly look for “adults only” to be explicitly stated for future experiences.

The hotel is amazing, the staff are so helpful and pleasant, the rooms are lovely, the evening meal best I had and so was the breakfast. A definite 10/10

Overall a great stay. 3 course dinner and breakfast very good. Leisure facilities good but a robe would have been nice (had to pay for these). Room on the small size and basic but beds very comfy.
